A++, the best!

Never owned a basket starfish before. This starfish is too cool! It comes out at night, hangs upside down on my coral racks, and spreads it's arms out to feed. It climbs over everything, wrapping it's arms completely around objects. Watching it's arms move is surreal. I feed it thawed frozen shrimp. The one I got is reddish-colored. Picture is from when it tried climbing on my dirt tank glass. Stellar purchase-- could not be happier!

Very satisfied

I ordered 3 basket starfish from Salty Bottom recently and can’t be happier. I called and found the service to be very good and personable. The starfish were sent out that same day and arrived in excellent shape. I have been trying to source basket stars for over 3 years now and previously had received stars that were dying in the shipping bag upon receipt. The baskets I got from Salty Bottom were unique (2 were black) and the large one was the biggest specimen I had received to date. They opened and were active immediately and I watched them find their “spot” on different gorgonians with the current bringing food to them. At this point I am able to feed them both planktonic as well as frozen fish food directly with a turkey baster when they extend their arms at night. I am extremely happy overall with the service, quality and speed of shipping and of course with the basket starfish themselves. I would highly recommend Salty Bottom.
