The Easiest way to Boost your Filtration Naturally!
By adding Refugium Rubble to your sump you add a ton of extra surface area for Nitrifying bacteria to colonize along with plenty of other benefits like creating the perfect environment for pods to live and multiply.
Our Refugium Rubble packs are small rocks, shells and coral pieces that have been Aquacultured in the Gulf of Mexico on our reefs, they will contain hitchhikers like Pods, Starfish and possibly small crabs.
Approximate purchase size is fist size or smaller, however it can be larger.

Enthusiast
I've received the best quality rubble and some large rocks also upon request they are very good with working with you. Plenty of live on my live rock and 5 living crabs that I seen and one dead but most of the love was alive and active.

Dead Rubble
My rubble rock shipment came very fast! That's the good news. The bad news was when I opened the box it had a very nasty smell of dead rock which it was. I will give it 2 stars for the quality of the rock just not ALIVE!!!!

Good sized pieces for my refugium with some nice organisms attached. Even a couple crabs make the trip. Well packaged and excellent service.

Q:
I had a question about the live rock rubble, I have a small sump and will be just running my tanks as a bare bottom frag tank. I think the sump is 12x18x12 but obviously not all that is accessible, how many pounds do you think I should get to help with the biological aspect of filtration? Thank you very much.
