The Red Scooter Blenny is a beautiful reef safe fish. They have a mottled red, brown, and white coloration with a dark first dorsal fin. Males may be distinguished from females by their more-elongated first dorsal spine they also usually have brighter colors.
To be successful with the Red Scooter Blenny requires a very well-established 30 gallon/70 gal if keeping a group or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock and a sandy substrate. The aquarium should also have a good population of amphipods and copepods. They are slow-moving, deliberate feeders and should not have to compete for their food.
