Notes: The Spotted Mandarin is also known as the Spotted Mandarinfish, Psychedelic Mandarinfish, Psychedelic Fish, or Picture Dragonet.
The Spotted Mandarin makes a unique addition to your aquarium, this fish has a light green scaleless body that is covered with circles of red, blue, green and orange. Males may be distinguished from females by their more-elongated first dorsal spine.
To be successful with the Spotted Mandarin requires a very well-established 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock and a sandy substrate. The aquarium should also have a good population of amphipods and copepods. The Spotted Mandarin is relatively hardy in a system that provides the necessary food, as they are sometimes very picky eaters and will only eat live amphipods and copepods.
