Amphipods are a great addition to any saltwater tank a variety of reasons. They the best live food for picky Saltwater fish like Mandarin Fish, Seahorse, Dwarf Seahorse. Amphipods are also great members of the clean up crew and we believe they are a must when setting up a new tank, they hide in tiny crevices during the day and come out at night to consume eat organic detritus, bacteria or algae.
How many will you get? Since these are very small and microscopic we do not give you some outrageous number, like 10,000 pods. You will get a bag with a piece of filter floss packed with Amphipods in all life stages, this bag should be enough to seed tanks up to 150 gal or start your own culture as they are easily cultured so you can have a constant supply of live food.

I keep buying them LOL
I am relatively new to saltwater tanks and fish but I have an 60 and 40 gal tanks with lots of live rock, shrimp, crabs, blennys, gobies, dragonet, clowns, sharp nose puffer, green spotted puffer and they love these things. I am always worried that between them eating them and my weekly Maintenace that I do not have enough of them, so I keep buying them over and over again.
