Notes: Palythoa corals are very similar and also related to Zoanthids, though they do tend to be larger. Palythoa also contain Palytoxin a highly toxic poison. This should not alarm you as it is transferred via the air and your coral should be underwater, however it is something to be aware of. Palythoa are also relatively fast growing, creating a mat like effect covering the surface in tiny “flowers”. Palythoa are not aggressive corals but may crowd and even overgrow other corals, so placement is important. Palythoa do well in a variety of light and flow with moderate amounts of both being best.
This coral will come attached to a rock, shell or frag plug.
The Palythoa frags are at least 2 polyps (many are much larger)
