Q: Hello! I have a 20 gallon brackish tank with several mud fiddler crabs in it. Half the tank is water and then I have a slope that they can walk up to get out of the water. Are these crabs for a salt water tank? And if they are, do they need a place that they can go above the water line? If they are truly a brackish crab, can different species be put together?
A: Hi, these crabs are full saltwater, though as a type of fiddler crab they do need a place to climb out and breathe. But these ones are acclimated to saltwater, you would have to re acclimate them to brackish, if thats a possibility
